What is the KKPoker HUD? Explaining How to Read It, Optimal Values, and ROI Guidelines

What is the KKPoker HUD?

KKPoker is equipped with a HUD (Heads-Up Display) function that allows you to understand your opponent’s play tendencies through numerical data.

What are the benefits of using a HUD?

Since you can read play styles, such as whether an opponent is tight or loose, from the data, it directly links to an improved win rate.

In this article, we will explain in detail how to read the data displayed on the KKPoker HUD, the optimal values for each stat, the calculation method and guidelines for ROI, and the steps to implement the VIP cards required to use the HUD.

Please note that using the HUD usually requires a paid VIP card.

By registering as a new user on KKPoker through this site and joining the official Oncaji Record LINE, you can receive a no-deposit bonus worth up to $24, including a VIP card.

What is the KKPoker HUD?

The KKPoker HUD (Heads-Up Display) refers to the automatic aggregation and display of player stats.

Stats are play styles expressed as numerical values. By looking at these, you can understand past results, play tendencies, and win rates by position.

What’s good about knowing the stats?

Because you can understand the opponent’s play tendencies, you can think of advantageous strategies!

Hmm?

For example, when an opponent makes a move in a heads-up (1-on-1) situation, you will be able to judge whether there is a high possibility of a bluff or a high possibility that they are fighting with a strong hand.
If there is a high possibility of a bluff, you can choose to fight, and if there is a high possibility of a strong hand, you know you need to fold.
In online poker, you cannot see the opponent’s expression, so you judge their play tendencies and habits through numerical values.

I see!

With the KKPoker HUD, you can not only look at your opponent’s numbers but also reflect on your own numbers and play style, which is useful for honing your poker skills.

In online poker, external paid HUDs are sometimes installed, but in KKPoker, you can use a dedicated HUD by purchasing a VIP card within the app.

How to Read KKPoker HUD Data and Optimal Values

Here, we will explain the names and meanings of each item displayed on the HUD in an easy-to-understand way.

For specific optimal HUD values, please check [List of KKPoker HUD Optimal Values and How to Utilize Them].

Basic HUD Data and Optimal Values

KKポーカーのHUD

The KKPoker HUD has 10 basic items like the following. The optimal values for each HUD (stat) are as shown in the table below.

ItemOptimal Value (Standard Value)
VPIP15~22%
PRF10〜15%
Steal25〜45%
Check-Raise5~10% approx.
3-Bet5〜9%
Fold to 3-Bet60〜70%
CーBet55%〜75%
Fold to C-Bet45% approx.
WTSD19〜24%
Approx. 10% for cautious players
W$SD%49~54%

If the values are significantly higher or lower than these optimal values, the player can be described as a very cautious type or a loose player close to a beginner.

We will introduce the names and meanings of each item and how to interpret the numbers.

① VPIP (Voluntarily Put Chips In Pot)

VPIP (Voluntarily Put Chips In Pot) is the rate at which a player puts chips into the pot—in other words, the game participation rate. People with high numbers here actively participate even with high cards.

② PRF (Pre-Flop Raise)

Steal is the percentage of successfully winning the blinds by raising in the pre-flop (before community cards are turned) to make opponents fold.

To succeed in this, you need to make others think, “If this person raises, their hand is definitely strong.”

Players with a high Steal value despite having many matches are quite skilled, so caution is needed when playing against them.

④ Check-Raise

Check-Raise refers to the probability of raising after checking in the previous turn.

Raises after a check are often bluffs. People with high values here may be actively aiming for bluffs, so judge carefully whether it is a bluff when playing.

⑤ 3-Bet% (Three-Bet Rate)

3-Bet% (Three-Bet Rate) is the probability of 3-betting (raising further) against an opponent’s raise in the pre-flop.

People with high values here can be said to have a very aggressive play tendency.

⑥ Fold to 3-Bet

Fold to 3-Bet is the probability of folding when faced with a 3-bet after your own 2-bet (PRF) (the rate of giving up to an opponent’s 3-bet).

If this is high, the person is very cautious and quick to give up. On the other hand, if it is low, they are very aggressive and likely to follow even with weak cards.

⑦ C-Bet (Continuation Bet / CB%)

C-Bet (Continuation Bet / CB%) is the rate of betting on the next turn after raising in the pre-flop (Flop CB rate).

People with low values here are cautious and tend to only fight when their hand is quite strong, while those with high values tend to bluff more often.

⑧ Fold to C-Bet

Fold to C-Bet is the probability of folding when an opponent makes a C-bet (betting after a raise).

It can be said that people with low values are cautious, and those with high values tend to be aggressive.

⑨ WTSD (Went to Show Down)

WTSD (Went to Show Down) is the probability of proceeding to the showdown (where all community cards are revealed) in games participated in.

Players who attack aggressively even in disadvantageous situations or beginners who don’t know when to fold will have higher values here.

⑩ W$SD% (Won Money At Showdown)

W$SD% (Won Money At Showdown) is the probability of winning after going to the showdown.

If this is high, the player basically only fights with strong hands.

On the other hand, someone with a low W$SD% and a high WTSD has a habit of going to the end even with a weak hand, so caution is needed not to be misled by their bluffs.

How to Read the Cash Game Version HUD Data

キャッシュゲーム版のHUDの見方

In cash games other than tournaments, such as NLH and FLASH, the following two items are displayed in addition to the 10 basic items introduced.

  1. Total Hands
  2. Winner

① Total Hands

Total Hands means exactly what it says—the total number of hands in that game—and serves as a judgment factor for measuring the accuracy of other values.

For example, if the total number of hands is low, the values may be extremely high or low, meaning the data lacks accuracy.

Conversely, if the total number of hands is high, average values are displayed, making the data highly accurate as a trend.

② Winner

Winner displays the highest number of wins within the participated table.

However, there is a specific timing for this to be counted, so a high number doesn’t necessarily mean the player is an expert.

How to Read the Tournament Version HUD Data

トーナメント版のHUDの見方

In tournaments, the display content is different from cash games. In addition to the 10 basic items, the following three items are displayed.

  1. ITM (In The Money)
  2. Title
  3. Total Hands

However, whether one can achieve good results in a tournament depends on the level of the tournament itself and the number of participants more than the player’s skill level.

Therefore, these numbers should be used as reference only.

① ITM (In The Money)

ITM (In The Money) refers to the percentage of times a player finished in a rank that pays out prize money, even if they didn’t win first place.

② Title

Title refers to the number of times the player won first place.

The hurdle for winning changes depending on the level of the tournament, but since they have won, you can assume they have a certain level of skill.

③ Total Hands

Total Hands refers to the total number of hands in tournaments.

It is a numerical value that serves as a guideline for how much they participate.

How to Utilize KKPoker HUD Data

Here, we will introduce some examples of how to utilize the HUD data introduced so far, including examples that beginners can easily use.

Analyze Opponent Play Styles from VPIP and PFR

VPIP and PFR are the most important and most frequently checked stats.

Estimating the strength of an opponent’s hand based on these values is important not only in the pre-flop but also on the river.

People lower than the optimal VPIP value of 15–22% are tight players (playing only with strong hands), and those with higher values are loose players (playing aggressively even with weak hands).

The optimal PFR value is 10–15%, and it is considered standard if the difference between the VPIP and PFR values is less than 5.

If a player with a large difference—specifically a player with an extremely low PFR value who normally doesn’t raise—joins the game with a raise, there is a high possibility they have a very strong hand.

Be especially careful of raises from players with a PFR of 9% or less.

In this way, looking at the HUD values tells you what kind of player your opponent is. Please use this as a reference.

Calculate ROI to Reflect on Your Own Play

ROI (Return On Investment) is a term that expresses the amount of profit relative to the money spent. In poker, it represents how much you recovered relative to the money you bet.

By looking at this value, you can check whether you are winning overall or just losing. First, let’s find the ROI with the following formula:

Recovered amount (Profit) ÷ Participation fee × 100% (0.01)

For example, even if you win a total of 10,000 yen, if the total participation fees were 10,000 yen, the ROI is 0%. Overall, there is no profit.

If this value is low, you need to check your play style tendencies from the HUD data and make changes. For poker, please refer to “[Poker Winning Methods! What are the Secrets of Winning Told by Pros!].”

What is the ROI Guideline Percentage?

The general guideline for ROI is around 0–5%, and even for skilled people, less than 10% is the standard.

Professionals can sometimes reach 20% or more. Conversely, for beginners, it is not uncommon for it to be negative.

Precautions When Using the KKPoker HUD

This HUD data is greatly affected by the number of hands.

The HUD data of players with a low number of hands has high variance and cannot be said to clearly show a trend, so be careful.

When looking at HUD values, whether in cash games or tournaments, it is important to first check the total number of hands.

How to Implement the KKPoker HUD & How to Buy VIP Cards

To implement the HUD in KKPoker, you need to purchase a VIP card from the in-app shop. The flow from purchasing a VIP card to implementing the HUD is as follows:

  1. Tap the “Shop” icon on the far left of the top screen
  2. Tap “VIP Card” from the item screen
  3. Choose the VIP card duration and tap “Purchase”
  4. Press confirm to purchase
  5. Open My Page from “Profile,” tap “Backpack,” and select the VIP card

Here, we will explain the flow and steps from buying a VIP card to implementing the HUD.

① Tap the “Shop” Icon on the Far Left of the Top Screen

First, tap “Shop” at the bottom left of the screen.

左下部の「ショップ」をタップ

② Tap “VIP Card” from the item screen

Select the VIP card you want from the item page and tap it.

アイテムページ

In KKPoker, you can currently choose your favorite VIP card from three types: Silver Card, Black Card, and Platinum Card.

Since the available functions differ, always check before purchasing to ensure it is correct.

If you want to know more about the differences in VIP cards and functions, please refer to the article “[Official Supervision] What is a KKPoker VIP Card? Explanation of functions like Rabbit and Stats!”

How to Choose a KKPoker VIP Card

There are three types of VIP cards—Silver, Black, and Platinum—but since you cannot check the HUD with Silver, choose from the Black or Platinum VIP cards.

The biggest difference between the Black card and the Platinum card is the presence or absence of the stat function.

The stat function here refers to the ability to check the HUD without tapping the opponent’s icon.

HUDが確認できる機能

It is more convenient to have the stat function because you can see the opponent’s HUD without tapping, but it doesn’t increase the amount of viewable data, so we recommend the Black VIP card for beginners.

The Black VIP card normally costs money, but there is a way to get it for free.

It’s great if I can get it for free! Tell me how.

If you want to get it for free, join the KKPoker official club “Oncaji Record” managed by this site!
By registering for KKPoker through our site as a new user and simply sending a message to our official LINE, we are giving away a Black VIP card and $5!

③ Choose the VIP card duration and tap “Purchase”

Once you decide on the type, choose the duration and tap purchase.

有効期間は7日、30日、90日

The valid periods for VIP cards are 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days.

VIP cards are a better value the longer the period, but it’s best to try 7 days first, then use 30 or 90 days.

The expiration date is based on actual days from the start of use, not login days, so choose while considering how regularly you can play.

④ Press Confirm to Purchase

確認を押して購入

Pressing confirm will take you to the payment screen.

App StoreやGoggle Playでの課金

Please note that purchases in the shop are made via the App Store or Google Play billing, not with in-game dollars. It is the same as billing for a general app.

Since it is cheaper to purchase on Google Play than the App Store, there is also a method where a friend playing on an Android device acts as a proxy for the purchase and sends it to you in-game.

It is also possible to exchange for it using KK points, which are in-game points.

⑤ Tap “Backpack” and Select the VIP Card

Purchased VIP cards are stored in the “Backpack” on My Page.

マイページの「バックパック」

When you tap the backpack, purchased apps such as VIP cards will be displayed. Tap the VIP card you want to use to start utilizing it.
